You do not need the earlier library installed to enjoy these books but this is to help people from downloading giant versions of the Library every month. Some notes you may want to consider:

If you are using the Library you may get duplicates. This is because I replace lesser quality books with new ones. Keep track of the changes when you add to Calibre and delete the duplicates.
There will probably not be ratings added to these because they are stored in the metadata.db file. Most are retail or close to retail so you shouldn't worry about quality.
Also, if you have downloaded the Kindle library I will create another update in February for both libraries at the same time so ease confusion.
